Functional testing is an excellent way to find out how well your body is functioning.  There are different functional tests looking at different systems and I will discuss options and recommend the most suitable test for you after your consultation.  Following are just a couple of the test options available.

GI Map

Overwhelmingly, research indicates that gut health impacts overall health. The gut microbiome, in particular, plays a critical role in mediating the effects of diet and other factors on health, including the health of your digestive, immune, metabolic and neuroendocrine systems. Assessing your gastrointestinal health with GI Map Functional Testing can help get to the root cause of chronic illness.

OMX Test (Organic Metabolomics Test)

The OMX tests for chemicals that are produced during metabolic processes in the body, commonly referred to as organic acids. Consider it a measure of your metabolic function. It can tell you if your enzymes are working efficiently, and it can measure amino acids, along with more specific markers including cortisol, quercetin and tartaric acid.
Metabolomics Testing focuses on six areas:

  • Mitochondria and metabolic processing
  • Amino acid and protein metabolism
  • Nutrition
  • Stress and mood (the brain)
  • Toxic impacts
  • Gut microbes and microbial metabolites
