Kim Healey, Nutritionist and Metabolic Balance Coach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches & Online
Whole food. Whole life. One step at a time.
Kim Healey is a qualified nutritionist and accredited Metabolic Balance practitioner based in Freshwater on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, helping adults build lasting health through personalised, whole food nutrition and sustainable everyday habits.
Who I Work With
I support adults at all stages of life who want to take charge of their health through real food and practical, personalised nutrition.
If you are in your 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond and you have noticed your energy dropping, your weight creeping up, your digestion becoming unpredictable, or your sleep quality declining, this is where your journey forward begins. Many of my clients are busy professionals, parents, and grandparents who have tried different approaches to manage these changes, but nothing has worked in a way that actually lasts. You do not need another restrictive diet or a generic meal plan. You need someone who will take the time to understand your symptoms, uncover the underlying causes and support you in making practical, evidence-based changes that fit your real life.
Many people I work with are seeking clarity and a plan that’s realistic and evidence-based. My goal is to help you understand your body, support your metabolism and gut, and create sustainable changes that help you feel energised, balanced, and well for the long term.
"When you nourish your body with real food and supportive habits, the rest starts to fall into place"
Nutritionist Kim HealeyMy Approach: Real Food, Real Results, One Step at a Time
I take a whole-person, food-first approach to nutrition. Rather than focusing on a single symptom or a number on the scales, I look at the full picture of your health, including your metabolism, gut function, hormonal balance, energy patterns, and daily habits.
As an accredited Metabolic Balance practitioner, I use a clinically validated methodology that creates personalised nutrition plans based on your individual biochemistry. This is not a one-size-fits-all program. Your plan is tailored specifically to your body, your goals, and your lifestyle.
My philosophy is simple: small, meaningful changes create powerful, lasting shifts. I do not believe in extreme diets or overnight transformations. I believe in building real habits, one step at a time, that help you feel energised, balanced, and well for the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a Nutrition Consultation?
Your first consultation is a thorough look at your health concerns, daily habits and the goals you want to work toward. We finish by discussing the most suitable treatment options and the first steps to get you started. After the session, you’ll receive a written plan outlining your personalised next steps.
Follow up consultations focus on reviewing your plan and checking in on your progress. We’ll talk about how you’re feeling, look at what’s working well, and work through any challenges so you know exactly where to focus. Your treatment protocol is adjusted as needed to keep you moving forward.
How much do Nutrition Consultations Cost?
Initial Consultations (allow 60 to 75 minutes) are $185
Standard Consultations (allow up to 45 minutes) are $145
Do you offer Health Fund Rebates?
Depending on your level of cover rebates may be available for the following health funds:
- AHM
- Australian Unity
- ARHG
- CBHS
- Medibank
- NIB
How many Nutrition Consultations will I need?
The number of consultations varies depending on your goals and circumstances. Some people only need a few sessions to get clarity, make adjustments and feel confident moving forward. Metabolic Balance Clients start with 7 appointments and the initial program runs for about 12 weeks. Many clients then continue until they reach their health goals.
Others work with me for around six months to build strong habits and see steady progress, then return when their circumstances change or they want a reset. Some clients have longer term goals and choose to continue for a year or more. We’ll discuss what’s most suitable for you during your first appointment.
I’ve tried many different approaches, can a nutritionist help me?
Many of my clients come to me after trying different diets or plans that didn’t suit their body or lifestyle. We take a fresh, practical look at what you need now and build habits that feel achievable.
Accountability makes a real difference. I’ll be here to help you stay consistent, build on your progress, and navigate real-life situations so your results last.
What’s the difference between a Dietician and a Nutritionist?
Dieticians often work in clinical settings such as hospitals where they support complex medical conditions. Nutritionists may follow different pathways depending on their qualifications and interests.
As a holistic nutritionist with an Adv. Dip. Nut. Med, I look beyond the surface. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I explore the underlying factors that may be contributing to your concerns. This includes food choices, stress, sleep, hormones, digestion and daily habits. My role is to help you understand what your symptoms are telling you and create a personalised, food first plan that supports real, lasting change.
What if I have a medical condition or take medication?
I regularly work alongside GPs and specialists. Your nutrition plan will always take your medical history and medications into account.
Who I am Beyond Nutrition
I love being outdoors, whether I’m cycling or walking and I enjoy cooking (but I’m very much home style not cordon bleu !). I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my family.
Practising as a nutritionist since 2017, and with years in the corporate world before that, I have a genuine understanding of what it is like to manage deadlines, juggle responsibilities, and still want to prioritise your health. That lived experience shapes how I work with clients. I know that health does not have to be hard or extreme. It just needs to be consistent, supportive, and shaped around you.
If you’re ready to feel more in control of your health, and more at home in your body, I’d love to walk alongside you.
