 My Approach to Weight Loss

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all nutrition. Every person who walks through my door has a different body, a different health history and different reasons why they’re not where they want to be. My job is to figure out what’s actually going on for you and to build a treatment plan around that.

I offer two pathways for weight loss support: 

Option 1: Metabolic Balance (Recommended for Faster, More Targeted Results)

Metabolic Balance is a personalised, whole food nutrition program based on your individual blood chemistry. Your unique blood values are used to create a detailed nutrition plan designed to work with your metabolism, not against it.
It’s a structured, science-backed approach that goes well beyond calorie counting. It looks at your body at a biochemical level to help restore metabolic balance, reduce inflammation, support gut health and encourage sustainable weight loss.

Option 2: Whole Food Nutrition Guidance

For those who prefer a gentler starting point, I offer personalised nutrition support using whole food principles. This approach requires less change initially, which many people find more manageable. It’s a great fit if you want to build better habits gradually and at your own pace.
Weight loss with this option tends to be slower initially, but the changes are still meaningful and designed to last.

In both cases, my approach is warm, practical and firmly grounded in whole food. No meal replacements and no quick-fix promises.

What to Expect in A Nutrition Consultation

Your First Consultation

Your initial consultation is a conversation, not a lecture. It’s an opportunity for me to understand you properly before we put anything in place. Together we’ll:

  1. Go through your full health history, including any previous weight loss attempts, digestive concerns, energy patterns, sleep, stress, and lifestyle
  2. Talk through the two pathway options and what each would involve for you specifically
  3. Decide together on the best course of action based on your goals, your health history, and what feels right for you

Follow-Up Consultations

Follow-ups are where the real work happens. These sessions are collaborative and supportive. We’ll:
• Review your progress and celebrate what’s working
• Discuss any challenges, questions, or adjustments you need
• Review and refine your plan based on how your body is responding
• Map out clear next steps so you always know what to focus on

Realistic Expectations and Timeline

I’ll always be honest with you about what to expect, because your trust matters more to me than telling you what you want to hear.

Timeframes vary depending on your individual goals, your current health picture and which pathway you choose. Weight loss is rarely a straight line and that’s completely normal.

For Metabolic Balance clients, many people see an average of around 0.5 to 1 kg per week during active phases of the program, with slower periods around holidays or times of high stress. Results vary from person to person.

For whole food nutrition clients, progress tends to be more gradual initially, with steady improvements in how you feel, how your clothes fit, and how your body responds as the weeks go on.

In both cases, we’re not just chasing a number on the scale. We’re working toward feeling better, moving more freely, having more energy, and building a relationship with food that serves you for life.

Option 1: Metabolic Balance Program

$1,697 *

This includes your personalised blood-based nutrition plan, Pathology testing, online resources to support your journey and 7 consultations and ongoing support throughout the program.

 

Option 2: Whole Food Nutrition Support

Initial consultation: $185 *

Follow-up consultations: $145 * per session

The number of sessions is entirely client-led and depends on your goals, how much weight you’re looking to lose and how much support you’d like along the way.  Some clients check in monthly, others prefer more regular contact, especially in the early stages. We’ll figure out a rhythm that works for you.

Does it actually work?

That’s probably the most important question you could ask, and I appreciate you asking it. The honest answer is: yes, for most people who engage consistently with the process, it does.  Metabolic Balance in particular is a well-established program used by thousands of practitioners worldwide. That said, no nutrition program delivers results without some commitment on your part.  My role is to make that as straightforward and well-supported as possible, so you’re not doing it alone.

 

How long until I see results?

Most Metabolic Balance clients begin to notice changes within the first few weeks, often in energy levels, digestion and bloating before the scales shift significantly.  Measurable weight loss for many clients averages around 0.5 to 1 kg per week during active phases, though this varies.  For whole food nutrition clients, changes tend to build more gradually. Either way, I’ll be with you at every step to help you interpret what you’re seeing and stay on track.

 

I’m going away soon. Can I still start?

Yes, in many cases you can.  Depending on your travel plans and when you’re going, we can often time things so you get started before you leave, or plan to begin when you return.  Most clients find it helpful to begin with a consultation before travel so they have some foundational changes in place and a plan for when they return.  Others prefer to wait until they’re back and settled.  We’ll talk through the timing on your clarity call and figure out what makes most sense for you.
